Birmingham’s Public Art Walking Tour

Birmingham has amazing public art.  Come and explore just a little of what you can see on the city centre streets today.

Conducted by Jonathan Berg, author and photographer of Birmingham's Public Art. See Here.... Jonathan believes a walking tour should be fun, educational, memorable and inclusive – so expect to be entertained.

Tour: A 2.5 km stroll which includes key parts of the city centre.

Start: Outside St Martin’s Church, Bullring Shopping Centre

Finish: Library of Birmingham, Centenary Square

Content: A fun and engaging tour considering the public art around the central area of the city. We will get to understand how Birmingham has managed to have the largest collection of public art of any UK provincial city. We see works by major artists on the world stage.

Suitable for members of the public and also groups - from U3A to visiting professors of fine art and all in between!

Additional: We use a live audio system so you can hear every word. Please bring a pair of headphones with a 3.5 mm jack (if not we provide a new pair for you for a donation to our charity).

Book: You may be able to purchase a copy of the book Birmingham's Public Art at tour end if you would like one. If you already have the book the author will sign it at tour end if you bring it along.

An eTicket: Is sent to you sometime after your automated booking receipt, with joining instructions. You do not need to print it off. If you are booking close to the start time just come to the meeting point for the tour.

Sifa Fireside: We donate part of our turnover and any donations at tour end to Sifa Fireside, a Birmingham charity which works on issues of homelessness in our city. Our dontations since 2016 are now over £34,000. We aim to donate £650 from every tour that we run in 2024.
