13:30-15:30 SUNDAY 13th April 2025. Discovering Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter
Discovering Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter
Children 7-16 years: £8 pay on door.
This tour is different. We get under the 'skin' of the city. We understand how the Jewellery Quarter developed from a country estate to a centre of amazing invention and industrialisation. We see how this place adds to today's city. We look at issues being tackled in today's city.
- Take the 'secret canal' to the Jewellery Quarter and understand industries from artisan jewellers to giant enterprises who dominated the world.
- See where the city is heading into the future.
- You guide is Jonathan Berg, local author and photographer.
A fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon among friends.
