13:30 - 15:30 Sat 2nd October 2021 Tour 1 - Canals and Victorians to today’s city
Whether you have lived in Birmingham all your life, are studying at one of our five universities, or are just visiting for a day - you will have a great time on tour with us. Guides are local people with a wealth of knowledge who deliver informative and fun tours of the city.
We look at early development right up to the present day. From industrial growth in Georgian times, the coming of the canals, on to Victorian times where the town developed as a world producer of metal goods, but also coped with issues of huge success. Moving into the 20th Century the brutalist concrete architecture and today the way the city is moving forward.Keeping Coronavirus safe: We take Covid-19 security extremely seriously.
