  • This 2 hour walking tour gives a great introduction to the city. It is conducted by knowledgeable local people and designed to be fun, informative and unforgettable.

Canals and Victorians to today's city: We look at early development right up to the present day. From industrial growth in Georgian times, the coming of the canals, then on to Victorian times where the town developed as a world producer of metal goods but also had to cope with issues of huge success. Moving into the 20th Century the Brutalist concrete architecture and today the way the city is moving forward. The Black Lives Matter campaign has had a focus in Birmingham - a truly multi-cultural city. We include an honest discussion on the major roles of Birmingham in the slave trade - things that many do not fully appreciate and which now deserve our consideration.
