10:30 - 12:30 SATURDAY 20th September 2025 Tour - Digbeth: Where Birmingham Gets Creative
Digbeth: Where Birmingham Gets Creative
Digbeth is where Birmingham began—and it’s never stopped changing. Once a medieval deer park, it grew into an area of homes, workshops and factories, becoming one of the city’s great industrial centres. Today, it’s buzzing again, as people move back into converted factories and warehouses now used for living, working and creating.
This tour explores Digbeth’s colourful layers—from its industrial past to its bold, creative present. We’ll take in giant murals, hidden gems and playful graffiti that turn the streets into one big outdoor gallery. And we’ll look ahead too, with Peaky Blinders, MasterChef and Silent Witness all produced in the area.
Your guide, Jonathan Berg, is the author of Birmingham’s Public Art. He’ll bring the area to life—and you’ll leave with a copy of his latest book, Discovering Birmingham, packed with photos and ten full pages on Digbeth.
